When to See a Doctor

You feel a lump or hardened area in your breast.
You have nipple discharge, especially if it contains blood.
You notice pain, dimpling, retraction, or sores on your breast.
A recent health checkup recommended a more detailed breast examination.
You have a family history of breast cancer and are concerned.
