Health Checkup FAQ

Find answers to frequently asked questions about our health checkup services. This guide covers topics from scheduling your appointment and preparing for your visit to what to expect during and after your checkup.

Appointments & Scheduling

• Check-in times vary by course, starting from 8:10 AM. Please arrive during your assigned time slot to ensure you can be seen.
• Most checkups take 2-3 hours and finish by noon. Gynecological exams (breast/cervical cancer screening) alone take about 30-60 minutes and are held in the afternoon.
• There is no fee for rescheduling or canceling. Please call us at least 3 business days in advance if you need to make a change.
• We recommend rescheduling if you are on your period, as it can affect urine, stool, and cervical cancer test results.

Preparing for Your Checkup

• Medications for blood pressure, heart conditions, or psychiatric conditions may be taken with a small amount of water by 7:00 AM. Please consult your primary doctor regarding diabetes medication.
• If you are breastfeeding, mammograms cannot be performed. Ultrasound is possible but may be less accurate. Please wait at least 6 months after weaning for best results.
• We do not have a nursery or childcare services. You may bring a companion to look after your child in the waiting area.
• We do not have parking. Please use public transportation or nearby paid parking facilities.

During Your Checkup

• All gynecological exams and mammograms are performed by female doctors and female technicians.
• Gastroscopy (stomach camera) can be performed orally or nasally. Please note we only use local anesthetic and do not offer sedation or general anesthesia.
• We do not have MRI or CT equipment and do not offer brain health checks (brain dock).

Results & Follow-up

• For questions about your results, follow-up tests, or to request referral letters, please call our dedicated nurse line at 03-5280-1084 (1:00 PM – 4:30 PM).
• Lost receipts cannot be reissued, but a proof of visit certificate can be issued for a fee of ¥1,100 (tax included).
• An extra copy of your results report can be issued for a fee of ¥2,200. Transferring results to a specific form costs ¥3,300.
