We aim to keep the burden on the patient’s body to a minimum and to support an early return to daily life.
Q. Is hospitalization required? How much does it cost?
A. Whether hospitalization is needed and how long it lasts depend on the type of surgery. For example, laparoscopic surgery requires a hospital stay of several days. In most cases health insurance applies, but the cost varies according to the type of surgery and the length of the stay. The High-Cost Medical Expense Benefit system can also be used, and we will explain the details at your consultation.
Q. I was told I need a detailed examination after a cervical cancer screening. Is surgery possible?
A. Yes, we can help. For those told that a detailed examination is needed after cervical cancer screening, we perform procedures such as cervical conization, which serves both diagnosis and treatment. Please first come to our outpatient clinic, and we will decide the future treatment plan together with you.
Q. What happens if cancer is found during surgery?
A. In the unlikely event that a malignant tumor (cancer) is found or judged to be highly likely, we will promptly refer you to an affiliated university hospital that provides advanced specialized care, so that you can receive the best possible treatment. Please rest assured.
Q. I was advised to have surgery at another hospital. Can I get a second opinion?
A. Yes, of course. We actively welcome second opinions from those who have questions or concerns about their current treatment plan, or who would like to hear the views of another specialist. If possible, please bring your previous test data and referral letter.
