Q. Do I need a reservation for a health checkup or a comprehensive medical examination (ningen dock)?
A. Yes. All health checkups and comprehensive medical examinations (ningen dock) at Hamada Hospital are by reservation. Please apply by phone (Health Checkup Center reservation line: 03-5280-1080, reception hours: weekdays 9:00-12:00 / 13:00-16:30) or through our online reservation site. If you are using a subsidy from your health insurance association, please make your reservation by phone.
Q. Where can I have my checkup? Are the locations different for men and women?
A. All checkup courses are provided on separate floors and in separate buildings for men and women. Men can be examined at the “Men’s Health Checkup Center” (Obata Building B1F, 1-7-4 Kanda-Surugadai, Chiyoda-ku), and women at the “Ladies’ Health Checkup Center” (Ochanomizu First Building 4F, 2-5-1 Kanda-Surugadai, Chiyoda-ku). It is a 2-minute walk from JR Ochanomizu Station.
Q. At the Ladies’ Health Checkup Center, are the gynecological examinations and breast cancer screenings performed by women?
A. Yes. At the Ladies’ Health Checkup Center, all gynecological examinations and breast cancer screenings are performed by female doctors and female technicians. You can be examined in an environment designed with consideration for your privacy.
Q. What time should I arrive on the day of my checkup?
A. The arrival time varies depending on the checkup course you have reserved. On the day, reception opens progressively from 8:10; for example, the comprehensive medical examination (ningen dock) and supplementary checkups are at 8:10, while gynecological checkups, breast cancer screenings, or cervical cancer screenings alone are at 13:15. Your own arrival time is stated in the information provided at the time of booking and on the examination voucher sent to you in advance, so please be sure to check it.
Q. What should I do if I want to receive the Kyokai Kenpo (Japan Health Insurance Association) lifestyle-related disease prevention checkup?
A. If you wish to receive the “lifestyle-related disease prevention checkup” using the Kyokai Kenpo subsidy, please first call our Health Checkup Center (phone: 03-5280-1080) to arrange a date. After the date is arranged, we will send you an application form by fax. General checkups for those under 35 years of age can also be applied for.
