MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment) Screening Test
MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment) Screening Test
Are you concerned about recent forgetfulness or the cognitive health of a family member? Dementia often develops from a preliminary stage called Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). At Hamada Hospital, a 2-minute walk from Ochanomizu Station, we offer the “MCI Screening Test Plus,” a simple blood test to assess your risk of developing MCI. Identifying this risk early is key to taking preventive measures that may delay or prevent the onset of dementia. This test can be booked on its own or as an option with your regular health check-up.
About the MCI Screening Test
- What it is: A blood test that measures specific proteins related to amyloid-beta, a substance linked to Alzheimer’s disease, to evaluate your current risk of MCI.
- Who it’s for: Recommended for anyone concerned about memory loss, worried about a family member’s cognitive decline, or wishing to understand their future dementia risk.
- Simple Process: The test only requires a simple blood draw. No special fasting is needed if you are taking this test alone.
- Clear Results: About four weeks after your test, you will receive a report by mail that clearly ranks your MCI risk from A to D, along with a dementia prevention guide to help you take action.
- Important Note: This is a screening test to assess risk, not a diagnostic test for dementia. Certain pre-existing conditions may affect results; please consult us beforehand.
- Price: ¥22,000 (tax included)
