The postpartum period can be a challenging time of sleepless nights, physical discomfort, and the anxieties of new parenthood. At Hamada Hospital, a 2-minute walk from Ochanomizu Station, we offer Postpartum Care Stays to help you rest and recover. Our midwives and nursing staff are available 24/7 to provide hospital-quality support for you and your baby, ensuring you can begin your parenting journey with confidence and peace of mind. This service is for mothers with babies up to 4 months old. We are a designated facility for the Chiyoda Ward Postpartum Care Project subsidy.

Our Care Services

Support for the mother’s physical and mental rest (we can care for your baby anytime).
Breastfeeding support and guidance from our specialized lactation consultants.
Instruction on baby bathing, general childcare, and parenting consultations.
Nutritionally balanced meals (3 meals a day), snacks, and a light evening meal.

Fees (Tax Included)

Overnight Stay (per day): Private Room ¥33,000 / Semi-Private Room ¥22,000.
Day Stay (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM): Private Room ¥33,000 / Semi-Private Room ¥22,000.
Additional fees apply for deluxe rooms and for multiple births (twins, etc.). Please inquire for details.
Semi-private rooms are only available to those eligible for the Chiyoda Ward subsidy.

Important Information

Family members (partners, other children, etc.) cannot stay overnight.
This service is for healthy mothers and babies who do not require medical treatment.
Our breastfeeding care focuses on advice and resolving issues; we do not perform massages solely for lactation stimulation.
Please call us in advance at 03-5280-1166 if you or a family member has a fever, cold symptoms, or an infectious disease.
Reservations are required by phone (Mon-Sat, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM).

Q. Is the hospital close to Ochanomizu Station?

A. It is about a 2-minute walk from the Ochanomizubashi Exit of JR Ochanomizu Station (2-5 Kanda Surugadai, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo).

Q. Can I give birth (delivery) here?

A. We are very sorry, but we do not handle deliveries (childbirth) at our hospital. We specialize in services such as postpartum care admission and the breastfeeding outpatient clinic, which support your physical and mental recovery after childbirth as well as childcare.

Q. Can I use the postpartum care program of Chiyoda-ku or other municipalities?

A. Yes, our hospital is a designated facility for Chiyoda-ku’s postpartum care program. Those who live in other municipalities can use our services at their own expense.

Q. How do I make a reservation?

A. As a rule, reservations are made online through the web reservation system “@link” (available 24 hours / https://yoyaku.atlink.jp/hmdhp). Phone lines are for inquiries only, not reservations, and are available Monday to Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
