Since our founding in 1894, Hamada Hospital has been dedicated to women’s health. Our History

  • 1894: Founded as Tokyo Sanfujinka Hospital by Dr. Tomomasa Masuda.
  • 1914: Renamed Hamada Hospital. Dr. Gentatsu Hamada, the first president of the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, served as director.
  • 1951: Incorporated as the Obatakai Medical Foundation.
  • 2008: The hospital was fully rebuilt and modernized to continue its legacy of care.
