Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our gynecology and fertility services, appointments, and what to expect during your visit. We aim to provide clear information to help you prepare for your consultation at Hamada Hospital.
Gynecology
- First-time patients: Please arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time to complete a medical questionnaire. This ensures we have enough time for your consultation.
- Cervical cancer follow-up: We perform detailed examinations (colposcopy and biopsy) if your health check indicates a need. Please book an appointment for a weekday morning and bring your test results.
- Referrals: A referral letter is not required. However, bringing any past medical records or test results can help make your consultation smoother and may prevent repeat testing.
- Surgical consultations: If you are considering gynecological surgery, you must first have a consultation with a doctor. Please book an appointment on a weekday or Saturday morning. Surgery cannot be booked over the phone.
- Preventive check-ups: We offer private-pay services like pre-marital checks and fertility checks for those without symptoms who wish to plan for their future health.
Fertility Treatment
- First fertility visit: Initial tests may be timed with your menstrual cycle. Please review our guide for new fertility patients before booking. We ask that you arrive 30 minutes before closing time for your first appointment.
- Bringing a partner: We recommend you and your partner attend the first consultation together to discuss the treatment plan. Please bring your partner’s health insurance card as well.
- Previous treatment records: While not mandatory, bringing records from previous fertility treatments or tests can help us create a more effective and streamlined plan for you.
- Waiting room environment: We understand the sensitivities around fertility treatment. Patients with children are guided to a separate waiting area to ensure a comfortable and considerate environment for everyone.
General & Other Questions
- Patient privacy: We use a number system to call patients for consultations to protect your privacy. We will not call out your full name in the waiting area.
- Payment methods: We accept cash, major credit cards, electronic money, and QR code payments.
- Bringing children: You may bring your child if another adult is present to supervise them during your consultation or examination, as our staff cannot provide childcare.
