Hamada Hospital’s Pediatrics department provides comprehensive care to support your child’s healthy development. We handle everything from routine infant check-ups and vaccinations to acute illnesses like fevers, coughs, and rashes. Understanding that children cannot always express their symptoms, we offer careful examinations and listen closely to parents’ concerns. With our gynecology and postpartum care services in the same facility, we can uniquely support the health of both mother and child.
Our Pediatric Services
- Infant Check-ups: We carefully monitor your baby’s growth and development and provide consultations on childcare topics such as feeding, sleep, and skin care.
- Vaccinations: We support planned immunizations, including schedule management. Please bring your Maternal and Child Health Handbook (Boshi Techo) and vaccination vouchers.
- General Consultations: We treat a wide range of acute symptoms, including fever, cough, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and rashes.

Q. What kinds of symptoms in children can be examined?
A. We examine a wide range of children’s health concerns, from cold symptoms such as fever, cough, and runny nose to vomiting/diarrhea, abdominal pain, and rashes. Please feel free to consult us even when your child “seems different from usual” or “is in a bad mood.” On behalf of children who cannot explain their symptoms well, we proceed with the examination while carefully listening to what the guardian tells us. If anything concerns you, please share it with us, no matter how small.
Q. Do infant health checkups and vaccinations require a reservation?
A. Yes. Infant health checkups and vaccinations are available by reservation between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, Monday through Friday. To attend to each child carefully, we ask that you make a reservation in advance by phone. We also accept consultations about types of vaccines and vaccination schedules, so please feel free to contact us. Reservations are accepted by phone on weekdays between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Q. Is there anything I need to bring when receiving a vaccination?
A. For safe and accurate vaccination, please be sure to bring the Maternal and Child Health Handbook and the pre-vaccination screening form distributed by your municipality. The Maternal and Child Health Handbook in particular is essential for checking the vaccination history. If you forget it, vaccination may not be possible on that day, so please check again before your visit. If you have any questions, please ask when making your reservation.
Q. Can the mother also be examined together with the child’s examination?
A. Yes. Our clinic also has a gynecology department and postpartum care, so examination of the mother is possible as well. We support you with concerns such as postpartum health issues and worries about child-rearing, together with your child’s health. If you wish, please let us know when making your reservation. We have prepared an environment where both mother and child can receive care with peace of mind.
Q. How do I make a reservation for an examination?
A. Examinations at the pediatrics department are accepted by phone reservation. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please contact the clinic (03-5280-1166) between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please note that we currently do not accept reservations online. On the day of your visit, examinations are conducted in the order in which patients check in, regardless of the reserved time.
